Do you offer any daily classes?
We offer both, private and scheduled group courses. Usually private courses are tailored for your party only and offered year-round for a minimum of 2 guests. In some programmes there will be a couple of others on the course, however afternoons and evenings are unstructured and free for you to explore the area by yourself.
What forms of payments to do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards including American Express, MasterCard and Visa, international wire transfers in three currencies: British pounds sterling, U.S. dollars and Euros. Currencies payable are indicated for each school. If paying by bank transfer, please remit in the currency indicated for the school. If paying by credit card, your credit card issuer will convert, if necessary, to your home currency.
What is your privacy policy?
We are committed to protecting your privacy. We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information to other companies, except to the provider of your selected course. We use the information we collect about you to process your bookings with the school. With your permission, we will keep you up to date via email about services or special offers we think you will find valuable.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellation policies vary depending on the course.
A non-refundable deposit of 30% per person is payable at the time of booking which will not be accepted without such a deposit being made. The balance is payable 60 days before arrival. If the balance remains unpaid, Gourmet On Tour Ltd. reserves the right to cancel the booking and retain any deposit paid. Cancellation must be made in made in writing to Gourmet On Tour Ltd. and such notice will become effective from the date of receipt by Gourmet On Tour Ltd. We reserve the right to charge cancellation fees as follows:
• Up to 60 days prior to departure date: 30% payable
• 59 days or less prior to departure date: 100% payable
Once the week has commenced there will be no refunds on unused portions.
Please read closely the terms and conditions featured on the booking form. We strongly advise to purchase a travel insurance. How long does it take to confirm a class?
After you have submitted the registration information for a particular school, we will check availability of the course and respond within 48 hours, providing the school is able to confirm within that time. Reservations are guaranteed upon receipt by us of your deposit.
Do you accept international bookings?
We accept course bookings from anywhere for any of our courses. Remember, however, that we do not make any travel arrangements; these are your responsibility.
Do you arrange transportation and travel?
We do not arrange or reserve any travel (air, land or sea) to any destination or particular school. You will have to make all travel arrangements directly. Some of the programmes include transfer from airport or train stations; please check the individual course descriptions.
Can I bring a non-cooking partner?
Yes, all hotels and most cooking schools accommodate accompanying partners. Please see reduced fees for non-cooking partners on the individual course pages.
Can you arrange for private group or corporate bookings?
Absolutely! We welcome group bookings for a group of friends, club or corporate activities, or even private classes. We can tailor a group programme that better suits your desires, based on length of programme, activities, specific recipes, et cetera. Please contact us at events@gourmetontour.com
Do you issue gift certificates?
Yes! Gift certificates are a great way to surprise someone with an experience they will never forget. The certificate can be personalised with a special message. The gift can be for a specific programme featured on our site, bearing no monetary value so your recipient won’t know how much you spent. Alternatively, you can nominate a value and let your recipient choose their gourmet holiday or course. Please contact us at gifts@gourmetontour.com
Will I be certified after taking a course?
No. The featured courses are recreational and do not cater towards certification in becoming a professional chef. However, many schools will present you with their own certificate upon completion of a course.
Can you help me to decide on a course?
Still undecided? Let us know what kind of a course you are looking for, length of stay, country or region, and preferred dates. Send us your enquiry to ideas@gourmetontour.com and we will cook something up for you.
How far in advance can I make a booking?
Most courses are scheduled a calendar year in advance. If the dates are featured on our site, they are bookable. Popular schools and seasons get booked up quickly, thus we recommend making reservations as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
Can I book a course at the last minute?
Yes, if there is still space available. Full payment is required to ensure reservations.
Do you offer any daily classes?
Some programmes offer daily classes. Please enquire.
PrivacyYour detailsInformation we collect about you is not sold, traded or given to any third party, except that information given by you for course registration is provided to the appropriate school.
Newsletter registrationInformation provided during your sign up for our newsletter is retained in our secure database. We do not share this information with anyone else, and it is used only for sending you the newsletter and special promotions related to Gourmet On Tour. If you wish to unsubscribe (and thus remove your details from our database), contact us at newsletter@gourmetontour.com, or else click on the unsubscribe link in the newsletter.
Tell a friend: All information submitted on the tell-a-friend form is purged from our database. We do not retain it nor do we share it with anyone else.
Security of detailsIf paying by credit card, your credit card details are secure. Depending upon the school and class, your credit-card payment will be processed by high-level encryption directly with the bank, in which case Gourmet On Tour never handles the information, or else payment will be processed by the school for which you are registering. In all cases, Gourmet On Tour never retains, sells or shares your payment details with anyone other than the bank and the school.
CookiesAs hungry as we are for your business, this site neither sends nor receives any cookies, nor do we permit any third-party to plant cookies through our website.
